While sulking over not being able to enjoy the snow at Meesappulimala, I heard of the snowing at Mundanmala. After the YouTuber described the foggy morning here as the most beautiful, I decided to pay a visit.
The next day early morning, I started off from Thodupuzha with the trusted companion ‘Google’ for directions.
To my surprise, the views started appearing just after 15 minutes of ride. A small tarred road from Nediyasala which is 6 km away from Thodupuzha. 1 km on this road took me to the watchtower situated at Mundanmala.

Due to Covid restrictions, the tower was closed for visitors. No soul to be seen around. But the view downwards was breath-taking.
The valleys extending to the farthest. On its other end was the fog slowly arriving to cover it after engulfing the mountain range. Meanwhile, the sun was getting ready to wake up. Suddenly the fog scattered around joined together and snowballed covering the earth like an umbrella.
The first rays of the sun coloured it in golden. The sight washed away very bit of sadness that I had on missing out Meesappulimala.
