Each trip is a reward, Wayanad man explores 21 countries
Wayanad: Most of the people have to drop their plans for travel due to their busy jobs. But Shibi has made travelling a part of his job along with the distribution of electronic gadgets. Manathavadi native Shibi who was running a shop for the distribution of electronic equipment never thought that he could travel to foreign countries.
Shibi who started travelling in 2010 visited 21 countries now. He kicked off his journeys to complete the targets entrusted to him by his company. When he fulfilled the first target, the company rewarded him by sponsoring a trip to Thailand. From then onwards, Shibi saw each target as an opportunity to roam the world. Even though the company offered him many other recompenses, he denied all and opted for travel.
Shibi visited Norway, Brazil, Nepal, Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, Indonesia, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Singapore, Peru, Russia, Kenya, Vietnam and so on. He also went to Thailand, Dubai and Qatar four times and thrice to Malaysia and the Philippines.
44-year-old Shibi now plans to travel all over India on his bullet. This dream has been sprouted from his ride to Ladakh last August. He is also the president of the Wayanad Bullet Club.
