With no tourists, Munnar facing its worst ever season
Munnar: With the COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdown, tourism industry has been most affected. The whole of summer vacation season was lost in the pandemic.
Munnar, one of Kerala’s most sought out tourist place, faced its worst ever loss this year.
In the previous years, the peak season in Munnar was from March to May with holidays and the north Indian summer adding to it.
However, with a British native testing positive for COVID-19 in Munnar on March 16, the tourism here has been hit, with no visitors.
