Tourism springs to life in eastern region of Kerala
Thenmala: The eastern region is slowly coming back to life post–floods as flock of tourists make their visit. In the past one week, there was a steady increase in the number of tourists coming to Palaruvi and Thenmala Ecotourism regions.
The tourists from southern regions, including school students, have started visiting the place. The Courtallam Falls have been filled with flocks of tourists already. As the Courtallam season began, the tourists are including Palaruvi and Ecotourism in their tourism packages.
Many tourists have been coming by passenger trains to this region. Most of the tourists who arrive at Thenmala Ecotourism prefer adventure zone, man park, leisure zone and boating.
Most of the tourists visit the adventure zone between the trees lying on a higher plain for photography. The adventure zone is the favourite spot for young tourists.
There are many places for leisure and adventure for those prefering such eventful toursim in their travel. The place is a calm and green forest region giving the warmth that anyone would feel at home.
The boating fills the spectators with views of many wild animal herds including elephants and buffaloes.
The tourist rush is no less at the suspension bridge in front of the Peppara Dam in Thenmala. The visitors also take a shower in the Palaruvi waterfalls and enjoy the green scenery the woods provide before leaving the place.
