Kolukkumalai houses the world’s highest tea plantation. Situated in Bodinayakkanur in Theni district of Tamil Nadu, it is at 8000 feet above the mean sea level. It is also the one other place than Rajamala where Neelakurinji blossoms.
One of the oldest tea factory established way back in British era still functions here. 8651 ft high Meesappulimala and 6988 ft high Thippadimala are situated near the Kolukkumalai.
35 km from Munnar town, the entry to Kolukkumalai via road is only from Kerala.
