Athirappilly retrieves former glory
Athirappilly: The tourism industry in Athirappilly is slowly returning to normal as sightseeing becomes active. Native visitors as well as those from other states have been coming in large numbers since the last few days.
The shops, resorts and hotels have been opened. A campaign named ‘Welcome back to Athirappilly’ was organized by the tourism department in order to attract the tourists.
The tourists arriving at Athirappilly were welcomed by greeting cards and bouquets. The event was organized with the aim to revive the tourism industry at Athirappilly.
Thrissur district tourism deputy director Bindhu Mani, KTM representative MR Gopalakrishnan, district tourism project engineer Sreeraj, block panchayat vice president Viju Vazhakala and Athirappally DMC executive officer Manesh Sebastian also attended the event.
