Nilambur: The first phase of Adyanpara Hydel Tourism Project ‘Cream Cascade’ has been complete and opened for the tourists. A major part of a hydel power project is opened for tourists for the first time in the country, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) informed.
The project comes under Kerala Hydel Tourism Centre. The tourism project includes children’s park, multi play station, swings and seesaw. Presently, Rs 10 is fixed as entry fee. The visiting time will be from 9 am to 5 pm, said Adyanpara Hydel Tourism Centre in-charge K. N. Ajith.
Various parts of the hydel power project like the top portion of Kanjirappuzha that pumps water, the powerhouse, watch tower, glass covered platform to watch the power production process and valve house near underground water reservoir will be opened for tourists in the next phase of the project.
