‘Cleopatra’ all set to tour Arabian Sea from Beypore
Beypore: Equipped with the most modern facilities, Cleopatra, is all set to take the visitors arriving at the Beypore port for a tour in the Arabian Sea.
The survey on the safety of the boat and the lifesaving equipment to be stored in it was conducted on Wednesday. Port officer captain Aswini Prathap, port pilot captain Pratheesh Nair along with cruise ship captain KK Haridasan completed the survey.
The first trip of Cleopatra will be flagged off by minister AK Saseendran on January 26 noon. The boat trips will be opened to public from January 27. This is the first time such a picnic venture is being started from here.
The boat will start the trip from Marina jetty at ‘Pulimuttu’ (groynes), a popular tourist destination in Beypore. 100 people can travel in the boat at a time. It will sail towards Kozhikode beach through the sea and return to Marina jetty. Boat is arranged with chair cars. The round trip is of about one and half hours.
The trip for a person costs Rs 300. For school students coming as part of tours need to pay only Rs 250.
Tickets for VIP lounge with air-conditioned conference hall facility will cost Rs 450.
