Munnar: The temperature has sharply dipped in the hill station. On Monday, the day temperature dropped to 6 degree Celsius, recording the lowest this season.
Nallathanni, Mattupetty and Chokkanad recorded 6 degree Celsius while Thenmala, Chenduvara, Gundumala, Lakshmi and Chittuvara recorded as low as 4 degree Celsius.
The mist has arrived early this year to blanket the hills and tea plantations. For the past two years, the cold season began by December.
It is expected that in the coming days the temperature will drop to minus degree Celsius.
Also, more and more visitors are expected to flock the tourist destination.
