Meesappulimala, is one of the highest peaks in south India. Situated near to the famous hill station in Munnar, it is a lesser known destination for the highly adventurous. The second highest peak in the Western Ghats fater Anamudi, it became popular after it featured in a dialogue by Dulquer Salmaan in a movie.
It is said that the hill peak got its name as it is in the form of a meesa (moustache).
Meesappulimala base camp can be reached on the Munnar – Mattupetti via Aruvikkad estate. This route is highly unsurfaced.
KFDC has prepared facilities for visitors for trekking and other adventures.
