Naduvil (Kannur): Ezharakund is one of the most picturesque waterfalls of Kannur district, situated in the Paithalmala valley close to the Kerala-Karnataka border.
The waterfalls and nearby areas were completely dry during the summer but has revived the beauty with the onset of monsoon.
There is a huge increase in the number of people visiting here. The tourism department has constructed a pedestrian path from the Chathamala Facility Centre to the waterfalls, a 2 km long distance, enjoying the beauty of nature. Safety fences also have been put up.
The adjacent areas also provide an eye catching view with the greenery. The hanging bridge installed here also adds to the beauty of the place.
The waterfall comprises of seven levels of rocky natural pools of varying sizes and depths and hence the name. restrictions are also put in place near some of the pools here.
