Bekal Fort opens for visitors after 6 months
Udma (Kasaragod): Bekal Fort, one of the most sought after tourist destinations in North Kerala, was opened for visitors after six months, on Monday.
The fort was opened at 8 am, as part of unlock 4 phase. 46 persons, from Guruvayur, Udupi and Palakkad, visited here on the first day.
Bekal Fort was closed down on March 20 after the outbreak of Covid pandemic.
How to enter?
One can register to enter the fort by providing address and mobile number. The entry fee can be paid online. All the Covid protocols, including masks, sanitizer and social distancing, must be followed while visiting the fort.
The entry fee has been reduced from Rs 25 to Rs 20. No ticket is required for children up to 15 years old. Tickets can be availed until 5.30 pm. The fort closes for visitors at 6 pm.
