Music, dance, baraat and bidaai… A unique Indian wedding at Berlin
The wedding venue was decked up with exquisite floral decorations. Lots of flowers and lights added to the décor looking royal. All the relatives have donned traditional Indian attires. Everything was set for the marriage ritual and everyone was waiting for the bride and groom.
Suddenly, loud music and celebrations were heard outside. The couple arrived. Both were donned in red and white wedding dress. In a fully ritualistic ceremony, the couple got married in presence of their families and friends.
Don’t think it as a common Indian wedding. There are some specialties.
First, the wedding is being hosted at Berlin in Germany.
Second, the wedding took place at one of the pavilions exhibited at the ITB Berlin travel and trade fair. The German couple got married in one of the Indian pavilions named Incredible India.
More than ten thousands of participants from 180 countries are featuring in the fair which is held to showcase the tourism developments in each country to the world.
The wedding was part of attracting the foreign tourists to Indian tourism markets. The marriage was held with all rituals included in a north Indian wedding from baraat to bidaai. While the priest chanted Sanskrit slogans, its German translation was heard.
More than 25000 visitors have flocked the five day travel fair which will conclude on Sunday.
