Harley Davidson, BMW, KTM Duke and more...An all-women bike trip
Harley Davidson, BMW, KTM Duke, one seater Jawa Perak…. All were roaring on the road. They have over 589 kms to cover before coming to a stop.
Shirin, Asma, Ummu, Mufsina and 10 others. They are on their way to Goa on an all-women bike trip as part of the International Women’s Day in association with CRF club.
The team will be joined by 11 women from Goa and will take on the roads on March 8.
Asma, a homemaker from Dubai, is riding Yamaha FZ. She arrived in India for this ride alone and underwent quarantine. A Perinthalmanna native, Asma will return to Dubai after the ride.
Shirin, a second year undergraduate student from Kannur, is riding Royal Enfield bike and is an office bearer of CRF club.
20-year-old Ummu who rides Harley Davidson, an architect from Kozhikode Mufsina and Nasli who rides a BMW 310 R are also the best riders in team.
Second year undergraduate student Esha, homemakers Riya, Hafees, Anu, Shahina, Aleena, Tripura, Ihita have also joined the bike ride.
The team is supported by CRF’s Fayaz and photographer Rashid.
Some of the teammates learned to ride bike after joining CRF club. They have gone on several bike trips including Kasaragod-Kanyakumari.
The journey that started on Friday morning arrived in Goa on Saturday. All the members are in possession of COVID negative certificate.
On Sunday, a ride has been planned in Goa along with mechanical training.
After the women’s day on Monday, the team will return home.
