Young entrepreneurs launch website to teach technical subjects in Malayalam
Kozhikode: The lack of practical knowledge in technical subjects could be a major barrier for most of the candidates in pursuing a career in the sector. In order to help them, two young entrepreneurs have come up with a solution. They have launched an e-learning platform www.trycle.com which explains technical subjects in Malayalam.
Trycle is an enterprise started at Kozhikode Cyber Park as part of Kerala Startup Mission. The website contains videos of classes by experts in different subjects. Trycle was developed by Wayanad native Arun Chandran and Palakkad native Sujitha Rajagopalan. Now there are two other colleagues - Akhil Chandran and Namitha G Nath - to assist them.
Arun said that they thought of the startup after realising that many of the Keralite students who graduated in technical subjects are academically excellent, but lack practical knowledge. Trycle intends to help these students to improve their technical skills by offering classes at affordable rate, Arun said.
Trycle was launched in the beginning of 2019 and 600 candidates enrolled for training. But this increased to 2700 during the COVID times. First the classes were offered free of cost. Candidates can also download Trycle app. Those who are interested to offer lectures for the website can contact the Trycle team.
There are 11 courses available in Trycle including computer programming, Adobe Lightroom CC, Machine learning and date science using Python, android application development, Making of a Motorcyclist, preparations for interviews, personality development, painting, English, curricular subjects of class 10 and 12 and other subjects.
'The Making of a Motorcyclist' is a session handled in Trycle to teach the bike riders about the technical systems in modern bikes, safety features and other tips. Trycle team said that they intend to teach the new generation about how to ride bike responsibly.
