Pune: Kerala bagged two gold medals on Thursday in the National Senior School Athletic meet being held here.

Lizbeth Karoline bagged the first gold for Kerala in Triple jump. Lizbeth, who is a student of Pulloorampara school in Kozhikode, jumped 12.68 metres. PV Vini won the silver in the same event.  Vini, a student of Mundoor school in Palakkad jumped 12.55 metres.

KS Ananthu of Guruvayor Shree Krishna school gave the gold to Kerala in the Boys’ high jump. T Aromal of Thiruvananthapuram SAI, who had secured the gold in the State School Meet, bagged the second spot.

Kerala , who did not perform well in the first day of the meet, displayed splendid performance on Day 2. On the first day, Kerala’s Bibin George and Anumol Thampi, who were expected to win medals in 5000 meters, could not even finish the competition.
