Mathrubhumi wins Tomyas award for best newspaper headline on Diego Maradona's demise

Thrissur: Mathrubhumi daily has secured the Tomyas award for best headline in reporting the death of legendary footballer Diego Maradona.

The news headline which read ‘Madangi..Daivathinte kaikalil’ (which roughly translates to ‘returns to God’s hands’) has been declared as the winner of the award.

The award consists of Rs 1,11,000 and a plaque.

The award will be handed over at a ceremony held at the Mathrubhumi office at Kozhikode in the second week of December.

Tomyas is an advertisement agency based in Thrissur.
