Kerala state mountain cycling competition from Monday in Wayanad


Kalpetta: Kerala forest minister AK Saseendan will inaugurate the state mountain cycling championship on Monday at Elstone Tea Estate here.

The two-day championship is being organised by the Kerala State Cycling Association in association with the Wayanad District Cycling Association.

State Sports Council observers will be present throughout the competition.

Around 250 contestants will attend events held in different categories such as under 14, 16, 18, 13. Separate competitions for men and women are set up in all categories.

The team for the national championship will be picked from here.

The district association will hand over two cycles to the Perumthatta Govt UP School to promote cycling.
