Kozhikode: Expressing happiness at being selected as president of the Kerala State Sports Council, former international footballer U Sharaf Ali said it is a huge responsibility.
“The government has given me huge responsibility. I am really happy. I will make use of the experience that I gained from the field of sports and try to do things in a better way,” he told Mathrubhumi.com.
Ali added that even though he has worked as an organising committee convener and chairman at several games relating to the police department, this is a new working environment.

In 2022, the state sports department appointed Ali as the event coordinator for the Santosh Trophy football tournament held in Kerala.
