The cricketing community, on Monday, wished former West Indies skipper Vivian Richards on his 70th birthday. Former India cricketers Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and several others wished the iconic batsman through social media.
Harbhajan wrote on Twitter that says: "As much as I admire the batting giant @ivivianrichards I am glad we played during different eras and I never had to bowl to him 😅. Wishing you a very happy birthday, sir! Wish you good health and love".
Yuvraj wrote a heartfelt caption on Twitter that says: "Here's wishing @ivivianrichards - the #legend with a larger-than-life persona - a very Happy Birthday hope the coming year keeps you in good health and high spirits sir. My warmest regards."
Vivian Richards, who is often regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, has scored 8,540 and 6,721 runs respectively in 121 Tests and 187 ODIs between 1974 and 1991. He also had 32 Test wickets and 118 ODI wickets to his name. He was knighted for his contributions to cricket in 1999.
