We are confident, looking forward to first match: KBFC coach Ivan Vukomanovic
Kochi: Kerala Blasters head coach Ivan Vukomanovic on Thursday stated that he is happy with the team’s performance in the pre-season friendly matches and is confident over its work in the last three months. “We were dominant in the pre-season and the players were able to play full time by maintaining their fitness and form. So far, we are very happy with the performance,” he said while addressing the media.
He also took time to acknowledge the quality possessed by midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad and the important role he has to play this season. Vukamanovic also added that everybody is fit for the match against ATK Mohun Bagan on Friday.
The coach said that he is not worried about the short period between the matches in ISL, unlike in many other leagues. I am looking forward to watching the performance and keeping the winning mentality throughout the season.
He also assured that the team would be playing a different brand of football, and there would likely be a change from the formation in which the team played last season. Meantime, Croatian Center Back Marko Lešković stated that he is happy with the way the squad is built up during the pre-season and is looking forward to his first match in India.
