Bhubaneswar: Kerala have moved closer to a semi-final berth in Santosh Trophy after managing a 1-0 win over Odisha here on Friday.
Nijo Gilbert during the first half of the match made use of the penalty and scored the lone goal for the team.
Both teams were seen as aggressive from the beginning of the match. While in the second half, Kerala focused on defence. Odisha tried to score, but attempts went in vain.
Kerala will face Gujarat in the next match. With the loss, Odisha’s semi-final hopes vapourised.
