Kozhikode: Kerala women’s football team registered their first win in the National Senior Women football championship after defeating Uttarakhand 1-3 on Tuesday.

Vineetha Vijayan, Manasa K, and Femina Rag Vallapil managed to net three goals for Kerala as Bhagavathy Chauhan netted the consolidatory goal for Uttarkhand. Kerala took lead in the 44th minute through Vineetha until Bhagavathy scored the equaliser for Uttarakhand in the 52nd minute of the game.

However, Kerala managed to break the deadlock in the 75-minute through a well-composed finish from Manasa. Kerala went on to finish the game in their favour after Femina scored the third goal of the match in 86 minutes.
