Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC are leading Kerala Blasters 3-2 at half time in the penultimate league match of the Indian Super League at the Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday.
Manuel Onwu gave the home side the lead in the very first minute but an own goal by Narayan Das levelled the score five minutes later. Messi Bouli gave Kerala the lead in the 28th minute but Onwu equalised in the 36th minute. Martin Perez Guedes scored from the penalty spot to restore Odisha’s lead in the 44th minute.
Odisha FC can finish 5th with a win over Kerala Blasters. Three points against Kerala will help the home team leapfrog Mumbai City who are 4th with 26 points.
No matter the result, Kerala Blasters will end their season in 7th spot. But the Men in Yellow will be eager to end the season with a victory. Their away form has been terrible all season picking up just five points from one victory and two draws on the road.
