Goa back on top of ISL table with 2-0 win over NorthEast

Panaji: FC Goa got back to winning ways and are back on top of the Indian Super League (ISL) table with a 2-0 victory over NorthEast United FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Wednesday.

An own goal from Goals from Mislav Komorski in the 68th minute. It got worse for the highlanders as Jose Leudo was show a straight red card for bringing down Ferran Corominas inside the penalty box in the 80th minute. Corominas converted the resulting penalty in the 82nd minute.

The result took FC Goa back to the top of ISL table with 24 points from 12 games. NorthEast remains 8th with 11 points from 10 games.

Despite being very solid for over an hour, NorthEast crumbled after conceding the own goal. They missed a wonderful chance to climb up the table taking advantage of their game in hand.
