Chennai: Chennaiyin FC kept their top four spot hopes alive with a 4-1 victory over Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here on Thursday.

Nerijus Valskis (13 and 75) scored twice for Chennaiyin while Andre Schembri (43) and Lallianzuala Chhangte (87) bagged one each. Sergio Castel (71) scored jamshedpur’s only goal of the contest.

The result helped Chennaiyin, who have 18 points from 13 games, overtake Jamshedpur for the 6th spot. The Men of Steel are 7th with 16 points from 13 games.
