Dublin: India's Sanju V Samson's chat in Malayalam in the match analysis TV programme after the T20I match with Ireland is now viral on social media. He conversed with the former Indian player Ajay Jadeja, whose mother is a Malayali from Alappuzha.
Jadeja started the conversation by saying,' Sanju, it's Ajay Jadeja from Kerala. Congrats for getting your highest score playing for India.'
Taking the conversation's spirit on, Sanju replied in Malayalam. He said: 'Ajay Bhai Namaskaram, Sugamanallo alle?' (Hello Ajay Bhai, how are you?).
A laughing Ajay replied: 'Ivide sugam aan, Avide sugam aano?' (I am good. How about you?).
Sanju then asked 'Bakshanamokke Kazhicho?' (have you had food?) and without waiting for the response, he said it would be better to switch to English.
India won the second T20I versus Ireland but what made Malayalis happier was Sanju's brilliant performance. Sanju secured his maiden half-century in an Indian jersey by scoring a splendid 77 runs off 42 balls consisting of four 6's and nine 4's. It's a relief for supporters expecting an impressive inning from Sanju.
