Ranji Trophy: Kerala reach 194/8 at stumps
Jamshedpur: Chhattisgarh bowlers dished out a disciplined performace to leave Kerala stumbling at 194 for 8 in their first innings at stumps on the first day of their Group C Ranji Trophy clash at Keenan stadium here.
Captain Rohan Prem (62), Bhavin J Thakkar (33) and Sanju Samson (41) were the main contributors for the Kerala as Chhattisgarh bowlers created trouble for Kerala batsmen with their spirited bowling. While Rohan Prem hit 8 boundaries and two sixes in his 62-run knock that came off 117 balls, Sanju Samson hit 6 boundaries and 2 sixes in his knock.
While Pankaj Rao and SS Ruikar took three wickets, PR Sinha took one wicket for Chhattisgarh.
At stumps, Monish Kareparambil and Sandeep Warrier were at the crease.
