Ranji: Kerala rout Saurashtra by 309 runs
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala took full advantage of a poor batting display by Saurashtra to secure a comfortable 309- run victory on the fourth day of their Group B Ranji Trophy match here on Monday.
Saurashtra, who resumed their innings today at 30/1, were all out for 95.
Jajaj Saxena, who scalped four wickets and Akshay and Sijumon Joseph who took three each, broke the backbone of Saurashtra batting line-up.
Sijomon Joseph had taken four wickets in the first innings also. Kerala has got 6 points with this victory and has emerged top in the group with 24 points. Saurashtra is close behind with 23 points.

Riding on Sanju Samson's spirited 175, Kerala had set Saurashtra a victory target of 405 runs on SundaySaurashtra were 30 for 1 at stumps and needs another 375 runs to win. Earlier, Kerala declared its second innings at 411 for 6.
Kerala, who started the third day, at 69/1, displayed a splendid performance. Though it lost the wicket of Mohammed Azharuddeen early, Kerala fought back with Jalaj Saxena and Rohan Prem scoring 44 each. Arun Karthick gave excellent support to Sanju Samson by scoring a solid 81.
D A Jadeja, who scalped six wickets in the first innings for Saurashtra, put up a good performance in the second innings also, by taking four wickets.
