I will be back to cricket within three weeks: Sreesanth
Thiruvananthapuram: Cricketer S Sreesanth expressed hope that he will be back to international cricket within three weeks. The Supreme Court has given a clean chit to Sreesanth from IPL spot fixing case. Sreesanth is waiting for BCCI’s decision on his entry in the Indian cricket team.
“BCCI will take decision within three weeks. I hope they will grant me permission to play in the forthcoming Scottish League,” said the cricketer.
He also expressed happiness and pride over successfully fighting the legal battle and allegations against him.
“I wish I could play Ranji trophy for Kerala. But now, Kerala has the best team. I don’t want to be a burden on them. So I decided that I will play for Kerala when I am confident that I am ready to perform my best. Cricket has played a prominent role in my life. I just wish to play cricket from any place,” told Sreesanth to mathrubhumi.com.
He also shared his wish to watch India-Australia final in World Cup 2019.
“Australia took monopoly over International cricket for a long time. But now, India has a best team. I wish India should beat Australia in this world cup,” he added.
