Barmy Army mocks Kohli for his century drought; Indian fans engage with tit for tat replies

England's cricket fan club, Barmy Army, notoriously known for offensive tweets aimed at fellow cricketers, faced the wrath of Indian fans on Friday after sharing a tweet mocking Indian batter Virat Kohli.

The tweet came in the backdrop of Kohli surpassing 1,000 days since he last scored a century for his country. Kohli is going through a rough patch in his career and will be playing in the upcoming Asian Cup 2022 tournament. His performance in the cup will be crucial for his selection into the T20 World Cup squad later this year. However, fans who noticed the tweet shared by Barmy Army on their Twitter handle didn't take it lightly.

Barmy Army wrote "1,000 days," indicating Kohli's poor run in recent years. However, the tweet met with Indian fans ridiculing the English fan club by saying, "3,532 days since you(England) won any series against India."
