Thiruvananthapuram: The Meteorological Centre here has predicted rainfall in many parts of the state till Saturday. Meanwhile, many isolated places in Kerala received heavy rainfall on Monday.

Around 50 percent of the state will receive rainfall on May 10 and 11 and isolated heavy rains are expected on May 12 and 13.

Palakkad recorded a temperature of 38.7 degree C on Monday while Kozhikode and Kannur recorded 38.4 degree C and 38.5 degree C respectively.

Though weather conditions are favourable for rain, the temperature levels in Kerala was 2 degree C more than the average. In Kozhikode, the temperature was 5.4 degree C above average and in Kannur, the variation was 4.8 degree C.
