Nipah: Improvement in patient’s health, 311 under observation
Kochi: The latest medical bulletin released by the hospital authorities where the Nipah affected patient is under treatment, said that there is an improvement in the health conditions of the 23-year-old student. At the same time, government said in a press statement that 311 persons in the state are under observation.
Doctors, in the medical bulletin, also said that the health conditions of the nurses who had treated the Nipah affected student had shown symptoms of the virus attack are satisfactory.
Most of them under observation are from Ernakulam, Thrissur, Idukki and Kollam districts. Three nurses and a friend of the patient are admitted in isolation wards.
Health department said that the chances for the virus attack to spread are very less.
Meanwhile doctors have confirmed that the three persons who were admitted in the hospital in Thrissur, are suffering from normal fever. Their health conditions have improved.
A person in Kollam is being monitored after showing symptoms of Nipah fever. An isolation ward has been opened at Kollam Parippally medical college.
