CM Pinarayi Vijayan releases logo of Mathrubhumi’s centenary celebrations

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Thursday launched the logo of Mathrubhumi's centenary celebrations.

Revenue Minister K Rajan, Water Resources Minister Roshy Augustine, Power Minister K Krishnan Kutty, Transport Minister Antony Raju, Ports Minister Ahmed Devarkovil, Sports Minister V Abdurahiman, former Leader of the Opposition and MLA Ramesh Chennithala, MP John Brittas, Women's Commission chairperson P Sathi Devi, BJP state president K Surendran, Chalachithra Academy chairman Ranjith, Mathrubhumi chairman and managing editor PV Chandran, Mathrubhumi managing director MV Shreyams Kumar MP and Mathrubhumi joint managing editor PV Nidheesh were present at the ceremony.

The Chief Minister remembered the contributions of Mathrubhumi in India's freedom struggle movement.

" Mathrubhumi's contributions in boosting independence movement reflect the freedom struggles in Kerala. For Keralites, Mathrubhumi is the newspaper of their region," said CM.
Addressing the event, MV Shreyams Kumar MP said that Mathrubhumi is an organisation that has constantly strived to bring changes in the social sphere of Kerala.
Mathrubhumi works on the principles of truth, equality and freedom. At present, Mathrubhumi is continuing its battle for equality, he added.

Shreyams Kumar MP added that Mathrubhumi is leading the people to move fearlessly for freedom.

"Credibility and impartiality are the influential forces of Mathrubhumi. That is what made Mathrubhumi grow. This will continue in the future also and Mathrubhumi will always be with the government in the development activities of Kerala," said PV Chandran.

Mathrubhumi's 100th-anniversary celebrations will officially commence on March 18.
