Tirur: As everyone is eagerly waiting for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022, a 24-member family from Malappuram cannot contain their excitement.
Fulfilling their dreams, the members of the Cherakkal family in Tirur are all set to witness the World Cup right before their eyes.
So far, 16 of the family members have arrived in Qatar. The rest will set off from Kozhikode airport on November 22.
Ashraf Cherakkal, regional director at Grand Hypermarkets is already in Qatar. He had also gone to Russia to watch the World Cup. Now, his wife will also accompany him to the matches.
This year, SAT Tirur Football Club's executive committee member and men’s club team manager Jawahar Cherakkal will also be in Qatar.
Whenever the World Cup was held in the past, Jawahar had set up a projector at his place to watch the game.
Jawahar expressed his happiness at the opportunity to watch the games in the staduim this time.
