New Zealand shooting: Keralite woman among missing persons, says reports
Oakland: There are reports that a Malayali woman is involved among those who went missing in the terrorist attack in mosques in New Zealand. The missing woman is identified as Ansi Karippakulam Alibava (25). Her name is included in the list of missing persons released by Red Cross.
As per reports, the woman was at the mosque in Dean’s Avenue. Red Cross informed that the woman’s father’s name is Ali Bava and mother’s name is Fathima. However, the information is not officially confirmed.
It has been confirmed that an Indian man was killed in the shooting. The man was identified as Gujarat native Muhammed Junath Khara. The ministry of external affairs has informed that 8 Indians are missing.
The Indian embassy in New Zealand had reported the other day that nine Indians were missing in the shooting. They also said that the persons are suspected to have injured in the shooting. Further probe into the suspicion revealed that the Gujarat native man has been killed and two others are injured.
No details of the other six persons are available yet. It is learnt that one of the injured persons is from Telangana who runs hotel business in New Zealand. He is reportedly severely injured.
