Keralite Tom Adithya becomes mayor in Britain


London: Tom Adithya, a native of Kerala, was elected as mayor of Bradley Stock city in the local election held in Britain the other day. He is a member of the ruling front Conservative Party.

It is for the first time that an Indian was chosen as mayor in South-West England. Tom Adithya has been working as chairman of Police Board which includes the Bristol city and nine nearby districts in South-West England and Bristol City Council.



Tom Adithya was elected with majority votes even when the ruling front Conservative Party faced a setback in the local election due to Brexit issue. He works as management consultor and is a orator, human rights activist and social science researcher for the last two decades.
