Youth turns fish seller to feed his struggling family
Kottayam: Anandhu, a 22-year-old man turned into a fish seller to look after his family amid the covid pandemic. Anandhu's father worked with a person who rented mike sets and audio equipment. However, he was unable to support his family after the covid restrictions disrupted public functions and other social events.
Realizing his father's plight, the son decided to become a fish seller with help from one of his neighbours. After collecting fish from the market, Anandhu used to sell it by the roadside in Irumpayam.
The amount received from each sale will be handed over to the fish merchant on the same day as well.
He earns around Rs 500-600 per day from this and spends much of it on the household needs of his family.
His family includes his father, mother Omana and sister Anushree who studies in 10th standard.
Anandhu who cleared Plus two exams is satisfied with his job.
" I'm happy with the job. But it would be better if I get a job with good payment," said Anandhu.
