Thrissur: A youth decided to take his protest to the road with his plastered hand, after he fell inside a pothole in the road. Mannarkkadu native Muhsin (27) was injured after his motorbike fell inside the pothole. The accident happened on Wednesday morning at 4.30 am near Mannuthy overbridge.
The accident happened when he was going for work from his home to a chocolate company in Ernakulam. The pothole is 4 feet wide and and one feet deep. The pothole was filled with water following the previous night’s rain. Muhsin landed on his chest as he fell down from the motorbike. Mannuthy police sent an ambulance to accident spot after being informed by the locals.
Muhsin suffered a fracture in the left arm and injured his right palm as well. After coming out of the hospital, he stood on the middle of the road with the placard stating that this protest does not have any politics. The protest which started by 10 am ended by 5 pm in the evening.
Doctors has advised Muhsin to rest for one and a half months. Even though, political leaders and the state DGP saw the protest, no one bothered to show any interest.
