Young man holding 2 diplomas becomes clay pot seller during lockdown
Chavakkad (Thrissur): When higher qualifications did not come to his rescue during lockdown, Arun safely sticked to clay pot selling.
The 29-year-old man, who sells clay pots in Pancharamukku, holds diploma in hotel management and airport management and has work experience in both sectors. Besides, Arun has worked as an accountant in Saudi Arabia for two years.
When he had to spend four months jobless during lockdown, Arun started making a living by selling clay pots. Arun's father Appu works as a cook in KTDC in Guruvayur and mother Sathi is a cook at GUP School in Guruvayur.
Though his parents are not engaging in clay pot making now, Arun switched to this profession as his wife's relatives are working in this sector.
Arun got married only four months ago. They are still depending on clay pot business in Aloor. They motivated Arun to start clay pot selling during the lockdown and thus he entered the industry despite having higher qualifications.
