Young artist bags record by drawing pictures of historic monuments on pistachio shells
Puthoor (Kollam): A young artist has obtained a record by drawing pictures of 10 historic monuments in India on pistachio shells. Irumbanangad native B Vishnu (21) bagged India Book of Records with his unique skill.
Vishnu drew Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Madurai Meenakshi temple, Charminar, India Gate, Red Fort, Mysore Palace, Sanchi Stupa, Golden Temple and Hawa Mahal on the pistachio shells.
Each picture on the pistachio shell has the size of only one centimetre. He used mini sketch pen to draw the pictures.
Vishnu was interested in drawing from childhood. As he always wanted to do something different in art, he ended up painting the historic monuments on the pistachio shells.
Son of K Babu, an NRI, and Rama Bai, Vishnu is a civil engineering student in TKM Engineering College in Karuvelil.
