Working for 3 firms, Ajay is too busy to fail in life
Ottapalam: One word is not adequate to define Ottapalam Poolakkaparambu native Ajay Balachandran. A System Developer at Palakkad, Data Consultant at Mumbai, Administrative Assistant in Santiago in America, Author of 51 poems… Ajay, who was paralyzed from the neck down at the age of 18, fights his destiny with multiple titles to define him.
Ajay was attacked by a gang of pickpockets near Salem in 2008, while travelling to Ottapalam from Bengaluru, where he was a BTech Mechanical Engineering student. They robbed him and threw him out of the train. The severe fall affected his nerves, and he lost his mobility of the body and limbs.
But Ajay was not ready to fail before his destiny. He bought a laptop and learned the speech recognition feature in it. With the thorough training started since 2011, he ended up becoming a system developer in Aryanet Institute of Technology in Palakkad. Also he works as a data consultant in Cargo Care International in Mumbai, and a system administrative in Byte Solutions in Santiago in America.
Ajay does every job by speaking to the computer. His salary is credited to his account accurately. Despite the hectic work schedule, Ajay finds time to write poems too. Almost 51 poems have been penned by him in English and Malayalam. He maintains a website named ‘Madhuvanam’ for his poems. Besides, he writes poems in ‘Eka Thathwa’, a magazine published from Palakkad. Ajay has also completed graduation in English literature.
