Wooden sculptures to be installed in Sabarimala given warm welcome at Elampally temple
Pallickathodu (Kottayam): The wooden sculptures to be set up on the top portion of the Dharmasastha temple in Sabarimala was given a grand welcome at Elampally Dharmasastha temple. The reception was organised by the temple advisory committee.
The sculptures were made in 18 squares of teakwood. Guruvayur Elavally Nandan is the sculptor who made the wooden sculpture.
It was Nandilath Group which offered the sculpture to Sabarimala. The sculptures were brought to Elampally while they were being taken to Sabarimala.
Prior to this, the bells in the Manimandapam, golden door of shrine and the golden armour of the sculptures also were taken to Sabarimala from Elampally Dharmasastha temple.
