Thrissur: The Cyber Cell warned a mother who posted a note on Facebook sharing her concerns whether her daughter would misuse mobile phone amid studying alone at home.
The woman's Facebook post said, "My husband works in a bank and I have to go to school. Our daughter is alone at home with mobile phone for studies. I am afraid if using mobile phone sitting at home alone will spoil her."
The Cyber Cell contacted her and asked to delete the post as it would give hints to the anti-socials that the girl is alone at home. The officers also asked the woman to inform such issues at the nearest police station instead of putting up social media posts. They also gave her the number of nearest police station.
The woman works as a teacher at a private school in Thrissur and had to go to school from June first week for online classes. Her daughter studies in the same school. She had to stay alone at home attending online classes in mobile phone.
With this, the mother was concerned of her daughter's safety and put up the Facebook post. She said that she did not think of other social issues behind this act. As the Cyber Cell warned her, the woman deleted the social media post.
