Win prize for safe driving without accidents, says MVD to KSRTC drivers
Kalpetta: With an intention to reduce the number of road accidents, Motor Vehicle Department is venturing to award KSRTC depots with prizes for providing safe journeys to the passengers. According to the ‘Zero Accident’ project, a new move initiated by the Wayanad District Motor Vehicle Department, the department will give prizes for depots each month for no accidents. Based on this, the MVD has directed all depots in the district to turn them as ‘Zero Accident’ depots.
The new move was initiated in the wake of repeated accidents of KSRTC buses at various places of the district. Prior to the commencement of the project, an awareness class was conducted for the drivers of Kalpetta, Mananthavady and Bathery depots.
The ‘Zero Accident’ project is a collaborative venture of RTO and Enforcement RTO. MVD would conduct a thorough surveillance to find if accidents occur in the district.
