Why risk others' life? Italy-returnee student sets example, opt online learning
Thrissur: Six hours of online class, a break of one hour in between for lunch which is self-cooked. The Iringalakuda native is still studying ‘in Italy’ while undergoing slef-quarantine at home.
When Italy was swallowed by coronavirus, he returned home. His parents are in Dubai. His grandfather and aunt had already stocked up essentials at home. When he reached home, he was left alone in self-quarantine.
An aerospace engineering student at the Politecnico di Milano University in Italy, this youth is following all government instructions of isolation.
“Why put everyone at risk? I decided to live alone at this house. People working in corona-cell had offered to bring food. But I can cook. In Italy I was cooking my own food,” he says.
He returned home on March 8, when COVID-19 was spreading drastically in Italy.
“It is the same like my classroom. Classes are through video conferencing. One hour lunch break. I make rice, chapatti for lunch,” he adds.
“When I need something, I inform my family. They bring it and keep it at the gate. Till now there is no problem. I am fine,” he further adds.
