US firm acquires Keralite's AI start-up
Kochi: Uncanny Vision, an artificial intelligence start-up registered in Kerala has been acquired by a US-based company, Eagle Eye Networks, having a global presence. Interestingly, the company has a curious’ triangular South Indian equation’.
Uncanny Vision, the start-up company in Kerala has its operations centred in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. Interestingly, one among the two co-founders, one is from Kerala and the other is from Tamil Nadu. The start-up which offers AI-based solutions has been providing its services within India and foreign countries including the US, Australia and the Middle East. The start-up is one of the top companies in India which offers AI technology-based services to surveil and identify the presence of humans, animals and vehicles from cameras.
Among the two co-founders of the company, Keralite Ranjith Paraykkal is from Thrissur. He did his BTech from NIT Kozhikode. Before his start-up venture, he worked with a US company for a long time. Meanwhile, the co-founder from Tamil Nadu is Navaneethan Sundhara Murthi.
Including the duo, there are 59 employees in the start-up. All employees will be imbibed by the US company as part of the acquisition process.
