Mapranam (Thrissur): A man who carved minute sculpture on pencil tip has found a place in the India Book of Records. Mapranam native Shanto obtained the record by carving the form of FIFA World Cup in 5 millimetre size on the pencil lead.
MLA K U Karunan honoured Shanto on his achievement by presenting him a plaque imprinted with his picture and a traditional shawl. In return to this, Shanto gifted the MLA with the sculpture of a warrior with a raising fist.
Municipal councillor Biji Ajayakumar, MB Raju and Biju Blangad also accompanied the MLA while honouring Shanto at his residence.
