Son of Koodiyattam and Nangiarkoothu artists tops in Chakiarkoothu at Arts Fest
Kanhangad (Kasaragod): The audience were fully impressed with the hilarious Chakiarkoothu performance of Sreehari M. Chakiar at the 60th State School Youth Festival here. Son of renowned Koodiyattam artist Margi Madhu and Nangiarkoothu artist Dr. G. Indu, Sreehari chose a different art form to prove his talent.
Sreehari scored ‘A’ grade by staging ‘Bhagavadyuth Prabandham’ penned by Melpathoor Narayana Bhattathiri. A native of Moozhikkara in Ernakulam, Sreehari is a Plus One student at SNDP HS School at Palassery in Thrissur.
Sreehari debuted in Chakiarkoothu when he was in class 3. Now he is part of Nepathya Koodiyattam Kalakendram, an art institution run by his family. He has already performed at numerous stages across the state. At youth festival venue, Srehari performed to the musical accompaniment by his mother Indu and Nepathya Aswin.
