Rajan prepares to cast his first vote at the age of 62
Kozhikode: Chekkiad native Rajan is ready to cast his first vote at the age of 62. Along with his daughter, Rajan will also vote for the first time on December 14.
Rajan left for Muscat to work in a company at the age of 20 in 1977. He visited Kerala only once in every two years.
Although he used to add his name in the voter list before returning to Muscat, his name was removed from the list by someone each time saying that he was working abroad.
Whenever Rajan planned on coming to Kerala during election, he found his name missing from the voters list.
Rajan decided to end his four decade long NRI life and came back home in 2018. Upon returning, the very first thing he did was to give an application for his name to be included in the voters list. And finally, his name was included in the voter’s list this time.
Rajan stated that his first vote will be given to the party that prioritises development. He is eligible to cast his vote in the 14th ward of Ummathur. Rajan is currently running a fancy store near Thuneri panchayat office.
